We are also the only licensed freestanding children's hospital in Lubbock and the surrounding area.</p>\n<p>Covenant Children’s has evolved and grown over the years. The facility that began as St. Mary’s Hospital was later renamed Covenant Medical Center – Lakeside, and as of 2017 was converted to the freestanding children's hospital - Covenant Children’s Hospital - that it is today.</p>\n<p>We've grown from a 73 bed facility to having 227 licensed beds.
