    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ​​Senior Data Center Engineer​ ​is expected to be able to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead design and engineering of data center solutions and technical refresh initiatives. </li>\n <li>Architect virtualization, storage, and compute solutions for high availability and scalability. </li>\n <li>Provide Tier III/IV troubleshooting and root cause analysis. </li>\n <li>Lead RMF activities, ATO support, and audit readiness. </li>\n <li>Oversee STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and security architecture alignment. </li>\n <li>Develop engineering documentation, diagrams, and implementation plans. </li>\n <li>Advise government stakeholders on infrastructure strategy and modernization. </li>\n <li>Mentor junior and mid-level engineers. </li>\n <li>Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and automation initiatives. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline </li>\n <li>One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications: \n  <ul>\n   <li>CASP+/SecurityX</li>\n   <li>CISSP or equivalent</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in DoD or IC environments</li>\n <li>IAM Level II (preferred) </li>\n <li>VMware VCAP/VCDX </li>\n <li>CCNP/CCIE </li>\n <li>ITIL Foundation or higher </li>\n <li>ITIL 4 Managing Professional <em>(or intermediate ITIL certs)</em> </li>\n <li>Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or equivalent </li>\n <li>PMP or CAPM </li>\n <li>Data center hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, etc.) </li>\n <li>Virtualization (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) </li>\n <li>Storage systems (SAN/NAS technologies) </li>\n <li>Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching) </li>\n <li>Automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python – preferred) </li>\n <li>Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, vRealize, etc.) </li>\n <li>Configuration management and patching systems </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Senior Data Center Engineer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Data Center Engineer is the technical lead responsible for the architecture, design, optimization, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure in support of DIA CIS mission systems.
