We provide services including security, customer service, K9 detection, concierge, and baggage handling to a wide range of clients such as residential properties, commercial facilities, retail spaces, as well as some of the largest airports in Canada.</p><p>ASP is looking for Facility Access Control Guards for an event and concert space in uptown Toronto on a 24/7 basis. Candidates must possess previous security experience and be able to provide highly visible service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner, whilst exercising excellent communication and customer service skills. Working with integrity and awareness, the Facility Access Control Guard takes responsibility for securing and protecting our clients, their guests and vendors, and the property itself.</p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide protection from theft, vandalism, and trespassing</li><li>Conducting locks and unlocks of doors, gates, and fences</li><li>Physically monitor and patrol the property and event space</li><li>Engage in professional, collaborative, and proactive security services</li><li>Foot patrols on site on an ongoing hourly basis</li><li>Investigate, report, and respond to any incidents as required</li><li>Assist in emergency situations such as evacuations and medical incidents</li><li>Ensure all site equipment is secure nightly</li><li>Work in compliance with OHSA, AODA, CCC, and PSISA regulations, etc</li><li>Be responsible for keys and other equipment such as cellphones and radios</li><li>Collaborate with event staff, other security organizations, and dispatch personnel</li><li>Perform other relevant functions as required</li></ul><p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li><li>Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of security experience, tactical or events preferred</li><li>Eligible to work in Canada</li><li>Ability to work in a crowded environment, think critically, and work with a team</li><li>Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License</li><li>Must possess valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification (Standard Level C)</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication, including radio use</li><li>Ability to work 12 hour rotations is mandatory, inclusive of holidays and weekends</li><li>Able to walk extended distances, including stairs, in all weather conditions</li></ul><p>We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
