Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement within their Engineering Discipline.
Identify and manage mitigation plans for risks associated with their Engineering Discipline.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or equivalent.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.
Applied experience with exposure to hull/machinery/accommodation piping, electrical outfitting, and / or steel outfitting.
4+ years experience in ship design or construction or relevant complex industrial and manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Shipbuilding production, planning, material requirements, facility / resource capacity.
Knowledge and genuine interest of naval / modern ship design and construction methods.
Expert knowledge and application of maritime regulatory authorities (LR, TC, IMO, etc.) and other industry standards (e.g. ASME, IEEE, ASTM, etc.) applicable to job posting.
Experience as a cognizant engineer (or system / technical owner) over one or more ship’s systems or shipyard functions, or design functions.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, navigate 3D model and/or simulations, develop & markup drawings, develop presentations and reports, develop technical specifications, perform investigation on complex issues.
