Responsible for assigning resources to achieve the overall management and performance of the sharpening operations including sharpening, staffing, safety, training, throughput, quality and security.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensures that all employees are trained, engaged, and managed effectively throughout the sharpening operation&nbsp;</li><li>Deliver facility goals by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring work flow to ensure efficient and effective operation/utilization of the facility. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate the direction of all sharpening operations including, but not limited to knife sharpness quality, knife box integrity, safety, equipment basic maintenance and calibration, shift throughput, sanitation/cleanliness as well as personnel training to ensure plant and customer requirements are met.&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate the improvement initiatives and implementation, company objectives, productivity standards and cost control goals.</li><li>Assist in planning short and long-range labor needs based on production requirements and input from senior management.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure the security of the facility, its environs, employees and contents. Conduct regular instruction in good security practices.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
