    "description_html": "<p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PURPOSE:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation maintenance service and repair of&nbsp; equipment as assigned. He/she is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program&nbsp; handling guest requests and other work orders as assigned. He/she is also responsible for performing the job&nbsp; in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing etc. May require&nbsp; driving a shuttle van when needed (property specific).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include vinyl repair&nbsp; touch up paint minor furniture repair tub caulking tile repairs etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines refrigerators kitchen equipment laundry&nbsp; equipment HVAC guest rooms meeting rooms the swimming pool and hot tub.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Perform plumbing repair laundry equipment repair preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and&nbsp; supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon&nbsp; request.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause - determine&nbsp; emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Clean the exterior parking lot and remove trash from receptacles.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Perform minor landscaping tasks such as pulling weeds between lawn servicing dates.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Help the housekeeping department in maintaining public areas of the hotel.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with guest transportation if property has shuttle service.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance tasks as identified in the CORE program and record the work&nbsp; completed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain the needed stock of mechanical items needed to ensure work can be completed timely&nbsp; without delays.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Advise the General Manager of equipment or supplies needed and properly maintain the building.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assist breakfast area in below tasks as needed:&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and&nbsp; service-oriented manner.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the&nbsp; proper uniform and name tag when working.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Support all areas of the food service as necessary including washing dishes by hand and/or&nbsp; placing them in a dishwashing machine restocking dishes glassware utensils pots and pans or other necessary equipment sweeping and mopping floors washing work tables walls&nbsp; refrigerators and meat blocks moving trash and garbage to designated areas if requested.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>",
