    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span>The University of Maine System is seeking applications for a&nbsp;<strong>Mechanical Specialist (CL3)</strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>The University of Maine at Presque Isle is accepting applications for a Mechanical Specialist (CL3). This position performs advanced installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting work in support of University facilities and operations.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>The Mechanical Specialist applies specialized technical knowledge in areas such as HVAC and related trades to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable building systems and equipment.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Responsibilities include coordinating projects, prioritizing and assigning work, interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams, ordering materials, and collaborating with campus departments and other skilled trades staff. The position works with minimal supervision and may provide direction, training, and guidance to employees on project sites while ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.</span></p>\n<p><span>The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with occasional nights and weekends, and the availability to assist with emergencies after hours.</span></p>\n<p><span>This position has been designated as an “Essential Employee” role.
