For more information about Hope for Haiti, please visit www.hopeforhaiti.com . The School Coordinator is a NATIONAL position. This in-person, full time position, located in Les Cayes. No relocation benefits are offered. This position is grant funded through June 2028, after which, the contract will end. Role Purpose The School Coordinator will be responsible for supporting a designated set of partner schools within the HFH network to ensure the effective planning, delivery, and follow-up of teacher professional development activities. This role is field-based, with 75–80% of time spent in schools , working directly with school leaders, teachers, and partners to strengthen instructional quality and student learning outcomes. Key Objectives Strengthen teaching quality and classroom instruction in partner schools. Support effective implementation of teacher training before, during, and after sessions. Improve student learning outcomes in early-grade reading and math. Promote teacher engagement, retention, and gender-equitable classroom practices. Scope of Work and Responsibilities 1. Pre-Training Support (Planning & Preparation) The School Coordinator will: Serve as the primary liaison between assigned schools, HFH, MENFP representatives, and teacher training partners. Participate in and support planning meetings with school leaders, teachers, and partners to identify priority learning gaps and professional development needs. Support schools in preparing for training sessions, including scheduling, teacher participation, and logistical coordination. Ensure that planned training aligns with the Livre Unique curriculum, national education standards, and local classroom needs. Collect baseline information on teacher capacity, classroom practices, and school-level challenges to inform training design. 2. Training Implementation (During Trainings) The School Coordinator will: Be present in the field during monthly training sessions, workshops, and engagement activities. Support facilitators during training delivery, including coordination, attendance tracking, and participant engagement. Reinforce key training themes, including: Classroom management and time management Lesson planning and instructional strategies Differentiated instruction for diverse learning styles Early-grade reading and math instruction (K–3) Gender equity and inclusive classroom practices Monitor teacher participation and engagement during sessions. Document observations, challenges, and promising practices observed during training. 3. Post-Training Follow-Up & Ongoing School Support The School Coordinator will: Conduct regular school visits to observe classroom instruction and support teachers in applying new skills. Provide coaching, feedback, and practical guidance to teachers following training sessions. Facilitate peer learning and collaboration among teachers within and across schools. Support follow-up activities during school breaks and additional workshops. Monitor teacher attendance, motivation, and retention, and report concerns or successes to HFH program leadership. Support the implementation and communication of teacher incentives, including stipends and salary support linked to professional development participation. Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning The School Coordinator will: Track training participation and follow-up support provided to each assigned school. Support data collection related to teacher performance and student learning outcomes, including EGRA and EGMA assessments. Contribute to regular reports on progress, challenges, and lessons learned. Share field-based insights to inform continuous improvement of HFH’s professional development model. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field; a teaching certificate or advanced degree is an asset. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in education programming, teacher training, instructional coaching, or school supervision. Demonstrated experience working directly with primary schools, teachers, and school leaders, preferably in low-resource or rural settings. Familiarity with MENFP policies, national curriculum standards, and early-grade education (K–3) is strongly preferred. Technical Competencies Strong understanding of effective classroom instruction, lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated learning. Knowledge of early-grade literacy and numeracy approaches, including reading and math interventions. Practical understanding of gender equity and inclusive education principles. Experience supporting or coordinating professional development workshops and ongoing teacher coaching. Basic monitoring and data collection skills, including familiarity with classroom observations and student assessment tools (e.g., EGRA, EGMA). Skills & Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with teachers, school leaders, and partners. Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple schools and priorities. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt support to local school contexts. Comfortable working independently in the field and traveling frequently to assigned schools. Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with a supportive and respectful approach to teacher development. Language & Technology Fluency in Haitian Creole required; working proficiency in French preferred. Basic computer skills, including use of Word, Excel, and digital reporting tools. Benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, maternity and parental leave. This is a full-time/remote position based in Les Cayes. This position is NOT accompanied, and the organization provides no relocation, logistics, or housing packages.  </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">75–80% field-based, working directly in assigned schools.
