We're searching for an experienced trailer technician in our Airdrie location.<br><br><b>Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm</b><br><br><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Follow and maintain all safety measures according to company policies and procedures</li><li>Carefully listen to Driver's feedback</li><li>Conduct inspections and diagnose issues</li><li>Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions</li><li>Replace part and components as required</li><li>repair body damage</li><li>Inspect, diagnose and repair trailer electrical systems, landing gear assemblies and suspension/brakes</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on the following:<ul><li>Coupling and hitching systems;</li><li>tires</li><li>hubs</li><li>wheels and axles;</li><li>heating and refrigeration systems</li></ul></li><li>Maintain current PM's CVIPs and schedule future maintenance sessions</li><li>Keep logs on work and issues using internal software</li><li>maintain company owned equipment and keep tools in neat and proper condition</li><li>Assist in conducting pre and post vehicle inspections of equipment</li><li>Report any safety or repair issues to the shop supervisor</li><li>Be courteous to our internal (co-workers) and external customers</li><li>Be able to maintain a fleet of over 130 trucks and 350 trailers</li><li>Perform all other job duties as assigned </li></ul><strong>Skills and Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Red Seal Technician/CVIP certification is required</li><li>Reefer experience and asset</li><li>Valid drivers License: Class 1 or 3 an asset</li></ul><b>Benefits and Perks</b><ul><li>Employer paid benefits plan</li><li>RRSP matching program</li><li>Annual Tool and Boot allowance</li></ul><br><em>XTL is an equal opportunity employer that promotes diversity in the workplace.
