    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><strong><u>MACHINIST</u></strong></p><p>FAA Covered position</p><p><strong><u>Role Summary/Purpose:</u></strong></p><p>Set up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically controlled machine tools such as lathes, VTI, milling machines, and grinders to repair or overhaul aviation components using approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">Read blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files</li><li>Set up and operate manual, automatic, and/or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools</li><li>Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces</li><li>Monitor the feed and speed of machines</li><li>Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications</li><li>Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects</li><li>Work with engineering on modification of repairs or new repairs&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications / Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">High school diploma/GED</li><li>One to two years related experience or training</li><li>Must be able to work 2nd shift after training period (2:30pm-11:00pm)</li><li>Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident</li><li>Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, i.e. AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructions</li><li>Basic math and computer skills</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in the use of measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometers, venires, calipers, dial indicators/ surface plates, surface testers, etc.</li><li>Analytic skills</li><li>CNC Machinist Technical Certificate desired&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Demands / Work Environment</u></strong></p><p>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
