Description
This job is REMOTE WITHIN TAIWAN ONLY.
We are seeking an experienced candidate with deep expertise in smart factory enablement and semiconductor manufacturing systems. You will play a key role in designing, building, and integrating automation testing and AI-enabled manufacturing solutions, including tool connectivity and enterprise manufacturing platforms.
The candidate should possess hands-on experience supporting semiconductor fabs, understanding fab workflows, and developing scalable automation solutions for equipment communication, factory integration, testing, analytics, and intelligent manufacturing. During Greenfield Fab construction, the MES/EAP deployment phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end factory integration initiatives, from design through deployment and optimization
- Drive connectivity of manufacturing tools to enterprise systems such as MES, EAP, RMS, RTD, SPC, and FDC
- Define architecture and integration strategies for smart factory solutions
-Work closely with semiconductor equipment, automation systems, and software platforms
- Enable seamless communication using industry protocols (e.g., SECS/GEM, EAP)
- Design and implement MES/EAP-related software solutions, including automation frameworks and integration components for semiconductor manufacturing systems, and equipment automation validation
-Develop and support EAP driver automation, SECS/GEM communication flows, equipment interfaces, and manufacturing data exchange
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process, equipment, IT, and operations
- Support deployment of factory automation, data collection, and analytics solutions
- Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Organize meetings concerning all phases of product & project lifecycle (requirement collection, specification, development and testing, delivery, and sign-off).
- Determine solutions for customer requirements through the application of MES. This includes analyzing and understanding customer manufacturing issues and requirements; understanding the customer environment and documenting its processes and procedures; mapping these processes and procedures onto CIM components; and interfacing with software engineers on MES application functionality and operation. It also includes determining the requirements for functionality beyond the standard product offering.
- Keep up-to-date on new technologies and new products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or factory automation in configuring an MES system in a production semiconductor (Prefer to have 300 mm and backend experience)
- Expert knowledge of more than one manufacturing systems as FAB300, FACTORYworks, SiView, CamStar, Critical Manufacturing MES, and the wafer fabrication factory floor
- Preferred to master C++ Programming, C# programming, Web programming, & SQL Programming
- Software engineering expertise
- Strong software engineering hands-on experience with MES, EAP, and system integration
-Expertise in equipment communication protocols like SECS/GEM
- Proven experience working with leading semiconductor environments (preferably Applied Materials)
- Strong understanding of fab operations, workflows, and automation architecture
- Experience supporting semiconductor customers during greenfield fab construction, smart factory system implementation, equipment integration, MES/EAP deployment, and production ramp-up phases
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) frameworks
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven factory optimization and predictive maintenance
- Knowledge of data platforms, IIoT, and digital twin concepts
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience
