This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal. </span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What will you be doing?</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>This position will be a key member of the Prototype Engineering team.  Duties include:</span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technician to work CNC Milling operations</li>\n<li>Inserting raw materials (metal, plastic) into the mill’s vise or fixtures, and removing finished parts</li>\n<li>Running pre-programmed sequences by operating the CNC control panel under supervision</li>\n<li>Using hand tools, files, or tumbling machines to remove sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from freshly machined parts</li>\n<li>Be able to complete in-process inspections in open setup (mics, calipers, thread measurements) and optical comparator (angles and overlays)</li>\n<li>Be able to inspect parts coming off CNC machines for visual defects and workmanship</li>\n<li>Experience interpreting blueprints, beginner knowledge of GD&amp;T</li>\n<li>Staging raw stock and moving heavy materials using pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts</li>\n<li>Maintain traceability on material alloys and raw materials being machined for each job</li>\n<li>Loading designated cutting tools (end mills, drills, taps) into tool holders and placing them into the machine’s tool carousel</li>\n<li>Cleaning the machine bed and assisting in mounting vises, clamps, or custom fixtures needed for the next job</li>\n<li>Maintain CNC machines, including basic maintenance, and workspace professionalism</li>\n<li>Basic computer skills to enter inspection data, JobBOSS, etc.</li>\n<li><br>Work and communicate well with a team of Engineers and Technicians to efficiently complete assigned tasks</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>This position will require the following skillsets and experience:</span><span> </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Must be able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigation process</span><br></li>\n<li><br><span>Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating CNC machinery</span></li>\n<li><span>Looking for independently capable (work experience can vary if the applicant is proficient)</span></li>\n<li><span>Pass drug and alcohol testing</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must have good mechanical skills and experience</span><br></li>\n<li><span>High standard of quality and efficiency</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Effective communication and interpersonal skills</span><br></li>\n<li>Any milling/other MFG experience would be beneficial</li>\n<li><span>Solid knowledge of shop mathematics</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Basic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy object</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must be a US Citizen</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a government driver’s license</span><br></li>\n<li><span>High School diploma required, College degree not required but beneficial</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Past or present military personnel are encouraged to apply</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span><span> </span></p>\n<p>Read about our benefits here: <a href=\"https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.utrs.com%2Four-benefits%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ckselfridge%40utrs.com%7C47f934c95643425cb9a008dce7d48b3a%7C0a69be4bc2f741aaaef01a021fbaf824%7C1%7C0%7C638640147250945182%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=L54%2F0Uqp5jEUVg95CoBfwNzNqTUGPY%2FjP3Ecw8jcmzg%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Our Benefits - UTRS | </a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Always, Got Your Back</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>UTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
