Investing in our People to be the best they can be TGS MISSION STATEMENT Providing mobility solutions that change lives JOB DESCRIPTION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to learn and apply skills related to preparing & fitting of vehicle 4x4 options. All options must be fitted within their allotted time. Learn to use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure and verify dimensions of mechanical components. Work collaboratively with senior fitters, Team Leaders and other team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently. Ensure all options are fitted accordingly as per the procedure’s manual. Move vehicles to/from the work bays. Attend all required training on options as well as complete all e-learning courses assigned. Make good use of your tablet to accurately reflect your productivity levels. Build a comprehensive portfolio that includes evidence of your work, such as photographs, reports, and records to meet the criteria outlined in the NVQ. Manage your time effectively to balance on-the-job learning with NVQ requirements. Ensure you are wearing the correct PPE for the different procedures and meet the Health & Safety Policies. Use best practice for recycling and minimise wastage of consumables. Make any recommendations for improvements to workshop facilities, procedures, or systems. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS No experience required but must be passionate about vehicle engineering or mechanical work. Sound technical knowledge in the automotive industry is an advantage. Engineering NVQ’s is an advantage, but not essential. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS English written & spoken is essential. Spanish spoken is an advantage. NVQ’s or GCSE’s desirable but is not essential. Clean Motor Vehicle Driving license is desirable but not essential. SKILLS/ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Possess good interpersonal skills and be an excellent communicator. Ability to work as part of a team or on their own, if required. Able to show attention to detail. Committed to quality standards. Methodical and organized. Ability to work on their own initiative. Innovative - Applies original thinking in approach to job responsibilities and to improve processes etc. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Enthusiastic and interested in motor vehicles. Ability to interact with employees at all levels. Must be willing to work late hours/weekends as and when required. Friendly, helpful, and courteous disposition. Ability to remain calm under pressure. TRAINING Mandatory Training : Internal E-Learning assigned pathway. NVQ Fitter qualification will be attained over the first 18 months. Any other job related or for personal development task.
