Defend Freedom&reg;, is accomplished by serving customers and providing top-quality solutions to our military, law enforcement, and civilian customers seeking premium firearms for home defense, hunting, and sport shooting.</p><p>As a Machinist 1, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below, maintaining cell productivity by troubleshooting production problems and performing proven setups under the guidance of Manufacturing Engineers and/or Supervisors.</p><p>Essential Functions:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Conform to and&nbsp; operate&nbsp; within the framework of all applicable operator work instructions, SOPs, quality, and safety procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Maintain proper housekeeping of work area; keep all machines, tools, equipment, and work surfaces free of oil, grease, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Proficient at the operation of all machines and processes in the assigned cell.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Make offsets to tools to produce good parts; preset tools as needed; calibrate probes and tool setter.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Clear and correct common machine alarms including Automatic Tool Changer alarms.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Troubleshoot machine issues affecting part production or quality.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Perform repetitive inspection of parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, height gages, calipers, and indicators.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Assist&nbsp; and&nbsp; monitor process flow to meet production requirements set by Cell Supervisor.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Assist&nbsp; with training machine operators in the performance of their assigned duties.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Participates in the company&rsquo;s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.</li></ul><p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">High school diploma or general education degree (GED); typically 2&ndash;4 years of prior manufacturing experience or a combination of related experience, education, and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
