Description
JSM Airport Services, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Shift Supervisor (BHS & PBB). This is a career-track opportunity, and we are looking for an individual ready to commit to a long-term professional future with our company, starting with an expected commitment of one year or more . The Shift Supervisor (BHS & PBB) role is responsible for achieving efficient and quality work production, maintaining quality standards and volume requirements, and accomplishing goals and objectives set forth in the company's strategic plan. The primary goal is to manage the day-to-day operations of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) operations in compliance with airport procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely movement of baggage, and to oversee and coordinate the operational readiness of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) to support on-time flight performance.
Compensation:
Full-Time Weekly Pay Hourly Rate: Starting at $34.00 (Dependent on Experience) Work Schedule:
Must be able to work as scheduled (this is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week operation). Holidays will be included if they fall on a scheduled workday. Shift assignments are based on the airport and company requirements, as well as a technician's strengths, skill set, and experience. Our technicians are expected to be flexible in terms of prospective shift assignments.

Assist with the development of long and short-range plans, policies, operating procedures, and objectives. Manage and adhere to the requirements of the customer contract. Coordinate activities in areas of scheduling, production, maintenance, staffing, training, and other related functions. Provide financial (budgeting) and material support management (parts usage/requisitions, etc.) Maintain close surveillance over operations through staff meetings, observation, and personal contact to assure timely production and schedules, utilization of personnel, machines, equipment and facilities. Motivate and challenge the technicians towards metrics that enhance and visualize their individual goals in each work area. Keep site personnel informed of company communications, decisions, and policies. Promote quality work practices. Ensure "Level One" corrective and preventive maintenance is performed and reported accurately. Enforce good discipline, providing fair and consistent counseling to subordinates. Administer and enforce policies, procedures, and rules for personal safety, conduct, uniform appearance, and housekeeping. Have a working knowledge of safe work principles and habits; champion a culture of zero recordable incidents. Supervise and coordinate various programs essential to the operation procedures such as training, safety, housekeeping, and cost reduction. Maintain staffing requirements and assist with the interviewing process, both internal and external Able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet contract requirements - the typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, with the occasional need to work and support other days (weekends and/or evenings) Safety and compliance training as required. Perform other related job duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Minimum of a 4-year college degree in a business-related discipline and/or equivalent work experience in a related field. (These requirements may be superseded by higher contract requirements). Minimum of four (4) years of leadership experience; this experience may have been in a service industry, or in an airport environment (preferred) Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Working knowledge of baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges. Experience in preparing and managing budgets. Project Management or Organizational Development Experience (documented). Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Computer skills, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Excellent organizational skills: able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write reports and business correspondence. Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player and customer service oriented. Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day Frequently lifting/moving items that may range in weight up-to 50 pounds, occasionally up-to 100 pounds Work safely in a variety of locations that may include moving equipment and electricity, as well as small spaces, high spaces, dirty spaces, and hot spaces. Be aware of moving equipment, as well as areas where electricity is present. Additional Requirements:
The employee must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, a drivers’ license check and validation, a ten (10) year Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), federal fingerprinting and security threat assessment as well as airport security badging.
Continued employment is subject to all the above requirements on an ongoing basis, failure of passing any of the above requirements may result in immediate termination.
