They should possess in-depth knowledge of comprehensive software tools designed to streamline and optimize the process of estimating costs for projects. This employee will play a crucial role in the company by accurately determining the costs associated with different electrical systems and components.</p>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Specific Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop accurate, competitive, and profitable takeoff bid proposals for a variety of complex and large as well as small and simple projects.</li>\n<li>Review RFQ, RFP, &amp; Invitations to Bid</li>\n<li>Manage the estimating processes and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long range</li>\n<li>Communication<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">:</span> Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing and build relationships.</li>\n<li>Review takeoffs from estimators and check for conformity to specs and drawings.</li>\n<li>Prioritize, supervise, direct and schedule estimating projects.</li>\n<li>Responsible for prioritizing and planning work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.</li>\n<li>Prepare contractual exhibits and scope documents.</li>\n<li>Conduct internal estimate reviews.</li>\n<li>Develops and documents logical assumptions during conceptual estimating activities and applies these assumptions to take-off tasks.</li>\n<li>Participate in project turnover and kickoff collaboration when necessary.</li>\n<li>Provides analytical summaries and recommendations to the senior leadership as needed to support decision making.</li>\n<li>Attending job walks and reporting information back to the manager related to critical differences in job drawings and bid requirements.</li>\n<li>Develop and provide estimating training as necessary.</li>\n<li>Maintain department confidentiality.</li>\n<li>Follow-up on bid results and maintain estimate tracking log.</li>\n<li>Analyze estimates vs. completed projects.</li>\n<li>Assists with other job responsibilities as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and qualifications </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in the electrical construction industry.</li>\n<li>Deep understanding of electrical codes and regulations.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in using specialized estimation software and tools such as, Accubid &amp; LiveCount</li>\n<li>Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems.</li>\n<li>Ability to create accurate cost estimates, take-offs, and proposals efficiently with minimal errors.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines, this is critical to the position.</li>\n<li>Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills are essential to interact with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
