In this position you will be responsible for servicing and inspecting fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#shambaugh #Northstar #LI-DF #LI-Onsite</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform on-site inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm, suppression and releasing systems as well as associated devices in accordance with industry standards.</li>\n <li>Responsible for reading and understanding assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work for inspections and determine if additional information is needed.</li>\n <li>Manage daily call activity and program system products, including networking and programming.</li>\n <li>Report to assignment with required testing tools including suitable multi-meter, hand tools, printer, etc</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals consistent with the level of training received.</li>\n <li>Prepare associated paperwork/forms for customer service activities.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; 2-4 year degree in a technical field from accredited college or university</li>\n <li>NICET Certification preferred</li>\n <li>Installation of low voltage systems, Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control Systems, Nurse Call Systems, Paging Systems, School Clock Systems, HVAC controls, elevator controllers, and Telephone Systems experience preferred</li>\n <li>Fundamental knowledge of test equipment including multi-meters, digital analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communicating devices.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the hazards associated with inadvertent system discharge for the purpose of inspection, testing and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Ohm's law, resistance and AC/DC circuits</li>\n <li>Programming experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to handle stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills</li>\n <li>Proficient in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, IOS and database (software) programs</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
