Academic excellence is a trademark of the school as well as a diverse array of successful co-curricular activities and teams.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p>\n<p>The Digital Media Specialist advances Rockhurst High School’s mission and strategic priorities by engaging and inspiring key audiences through an authentic, creative, on-brand approach to storytelling across digital media. The Digital Media Specialist is polished in photography and videography, editing, and experienced in multiple social media platforms.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop fresh, compelling content through photography and videography to share on Rockhurst’s social media pages and website, and in publications.</li>\n <li>Manage day-to-day postings on Rockhurst’s social media pages, while making all photo albums viewable to the greater Rockhurst community.</li>\n <li>Create and share multiple event recap and school highlight videos each month.</li>\n <li>Design branded templates useable for all school departments.</li>\n <li>Work directly with co-curricular groups and athletic teams to feature membership, activities, and achievements.</li>\n <li>Host livestreams for student, parent, and alumni events.</li>\n <li>Oversee a student-produced content program while providing mentorship and coaching on creative digital media projects.</li>\n <li>Monitor KPIs of social media pages to optimize content.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of photography and editing, video production, and social media.</li>\n <li>Portfolio showcasing samples of creative work.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with a commitment to organization and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Outstanding computer skills; design experience and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with team members and colleagues.</li>\n <li>Time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.</li>\n <li>Experience with livestreaming platforms and technologies.</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.</li>\n <li>Commitment to the mission of Catholic, Jesuit education.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass required background checks.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage projects with minimal supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS</p>\n<ul>\n <li>2-5+ years of experience with Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Communications or related field (Public Relations, Education, Marketing, Journalism, Video Production).</li>\n <li>Demonstrated background in graphic design and branding.</li>\n <li>Experience working with high school students to generate digital content.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer.</li>\n <li>Frequent standing, walking, and movement across campus and event venues.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25–30 pounds.</li>\n <li>Manual dexterity to operate cameras, audiovisual equipment, and computers.</li>\n <li>Strong visual and auditory ability for content creation and editing.</li>\n <li>Work in office, classroom, and outdoor settings.</li>\n <li>Evening and weekend hours required for events and livestreams.</li>\n <li>Exposure to varying weather and moderate noise levels.</li>\n <li>Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.</li>\n <li>Regular interaction with students, staff, and community members.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>HOW TO APPLY:</p>\n<p>Please send cover letter, resume and completed Rockhurst Application to [email protected].</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Rockhurst High School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>",
