    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>CONSTRUCTION&nbsp;SERVICES&nbsp;PRACTICE</b></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Michael Baker International’s Construction Services staff supports clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction, from pre-design to close-out, by providing qualified construction managers, inspectors, constructability reviewers, schedulers,&nbsp;estimators and safety experts. As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.</p>\n<p><b>DESCRIPTION</b></p>\n<p>Michael Baker is seeking a Transportation Construction Manager in the Moon Township office.&nbsp; Under general supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible, through subordinate construction personnel, for the overall management direction of &nbsp;construction projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluate specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction</li>\n <li>Assembles members of organizations (supervisory, clerical, engineering, technical, field, and other workers) during projects</li>\n <li>Coordinates with stakeholders and subconsultants to engage in planning and execution of oversight procedures, interpreting specifications, and executing correspondence with the contractor</li>\n <li>Verifies appropriate project documentation including correspondence with the contractor and owner</li>\n <li>Prepares complex correspondence to the contractor or others including responses to claim notification</li>\n <li>Leads regularly scheduled Project Control Meetings with the contractor and owner</li>\n <li>Oversees work in progress to ensure that workmanship, conforms with specifications and plans, adherence to schedule</li>\n <li>Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports</li>\n <li>Verifies construction activities within federal, state, and local rules and regulations</li>\n <li>Occasional to moderate travel may be required</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED</li>\n <li>8&amp;#43; years of <span>of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection supervision/management experience</span></li>\n <li><span>PennDOT Concrete Certification and NECEPT Field Technician Certification or a NICET Level IV in Highway Construction certification</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>COMPENSATION</b></p>\n<p>The approximate compensation range for this position is $39.56/hr - $45.11/hr based on experience and certifications.&nbsp; This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.&nbsp; Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.</p>",
