    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Weber Gallagher</strong> has an immediate opening for an experienced <strong>mid-level associate</strong> to join our Miami, Florida office.<strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong> The associate will be responsible for handling a wide range of general liability matters in Florida including managing their own cases, drafting pleadings and legal documents, taking and defending depositions, providing strategic legal analysis and appearing in court as needed.&nbsp;</p><p> <strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.</li><li>Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, take depositions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.</li><li>Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies.</li><li>Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.</li><li>Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case status, strategy, and potential outcomes.</li><li>Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and legal staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage cases while adhering to billing and budget requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.</li><li>Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our office in Miami.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>3-7 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation.</li><li>J.D. from an accredited law school.</li><li>Florida bar license, active and in good standing, required.</li><li>Have experience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, answering written discovery, taking/defending depositions and handling oral arguments.</li><li>Have experience in premises liability, general liability, automobile, and insurance defense.&nbsp;</li><li>Have excellent academic credentials as well as strong research, writing, organization, and analytical skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent communication skills. </li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Weber Gallagher is a thriving and growing firm with more than 160 legal professionals in 13 locations.
