Description
Overview
We're looking for someone who sees data not as spreadsheets, but as stories waiting to be told.
This role sits at the intersection of donor relations, database management, and creative communication. You'll maintain the systems that power our fundraising efforts, translate giving patterns into actionable insights, and help our team understand what the numbers actually mean. If you're curious about what's possible when you combine the right data with the right questions—and you can explain your findings to people who aren't data people—we want to hear from you.
Make a tangible difference in fundraising for the vital services Racker provides for individuals with disabilities in our community by helping to share the impact of this work.
This is a full-time, in-person position.
Starting salary range: 45,000 - $50,000
Our competitive benefits include a continuum of health care options for families and individuals, funding and time for continuing education, retirement investment with employer match, paid vacation for school holidays and breaks, paid sick time, and a 20% discount on childcare services for children/grandchildren of full time staff.
Responsibilities
Data & Database Management
Process all donations and oversee database entry, working with finance to track and journal gift receipts
Run quarterly reports, maintain donor lists, and lead database streamlining projects
Combine data files across sources to build analytics that inform strategy and interpret data
Maintain and organize donor, media, and photo permission files
Communication & Coordination
Produce annual gift acknowledgements (memorials, honoraria, gifts in-kind) and send notifications and pledge reminders
Coordinate solicitation and newsletter mailings; maintain the master annual mailing calendar
Support production and distribution of internal communications to staff and families
Prepare agendas, distribute minutes, and handle meeting scheduling for meetings and committees served by Community Relations and Development
Event Support
Manage mailing lists, compile RSVP lists, and handle day-of duties as needed
Assist with materials distribution and provide on-site event support
Qualifications
Education
Associate degree required, or equivalent experience in a database analysis and administrative role. We're particularly interested in backgrounds in policy, business, economics, psychology, or sociology—fields that train you to think critically about human behavior and systems.
Skills & Orientation
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite for light graphic work
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
Ability to summarize, analyze, and tell stories with data
Curiosity about what's possible—you notice patterns and ask "what if?"
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to self-manage and juggle tasks across multiple departments
Photography skillset is preferred
Other Requirements
Smartphone required for documentation
Familiarity with community resources as they relate to the position
Professional standards of behavior and dress
Our approach to Diversity and Inclusion -
"A world where all people know they belong."
