Applicants do not need previous experience or training/certification as a medical assistant but do need to meet the minimum requirements for the position.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div><p><strong>Other part-time and full-time opportunities may be available</strong></p><p><strong>$3,000 HIRING BONUS for eligible candidates</strong></p><p><strong><u>Job Description:</u></strong></p><p>As a provider assistant at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information, administration of medications/vaccinations and treatments, as well as obtaining medical histories, vital signs, etc.<br>The provider assistant assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures.<br>All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.</p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Interview patients and document basic medical history</li><li>Take vital signs and document findings in the patient record</li><li>Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients</li><li>Administer immunizations</li><li>Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls</li><li>Enter orders for laboratory services</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) OR</li><li>Current LPN (MN and WI license required) OR</li><li>Graduate of an accredited EMT program plus current EMT license (national and Minnesota)</li><li>Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current Nursing Assistant Certification in Minnesota</li><li>OR&nbsp;<ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">High school diploma or GED</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">2 years customer service experience and/or healthcare experience</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Complete Medical Terminology and Pharmacology online courses within six months of hire&nbsp;</span></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>PLUS&nbsp;</strong>current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross</p><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>One year medial assistant or LPN experience in a clinic.</li><li>Experience with Epic electronic medical record software.</li></ul><p>All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs, able to effectively share information with patient, family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn, retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with Epic preferred.</p>",
