They carry out assigned duties under the direction of the foreman, operating various equipment, including but not limited to excavators, trenchers, or directional bore machines. HDD Operators ensure that drilling operations are conducted safely, accurately, and in compliance with project specifications and environmental regulations.</span></p>\n<p><span>Essential Functions</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span style=\"color: #222222\">Safely operate the HDD rig and associated drilling equipment according to project specifications, design plans, and established procedures</span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Locates Drill Head with DGI Trac/Falcon Locator Works with all sub site electronics - 752 series, TK &amp; TKD. (Single, dual, and quad beacons).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Control the drilling process to achieve the desired bore path, depth, and alignment, adjusting drilling parameters as needed.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Collaborate with the HDD locator to ensure alignment with the planned route and enforce safety protocols for a secure working environment.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Perform routine maintenance on the HDD rig, conduct inspections, and make necessary repairs to prevent downtime </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Identify and address challenges during drilling, collaborating with the HDD locator and team members for solutions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Maintain clear communication with project managers, providing updates on progress, challenges, and deviations </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Oversee the handling and installation of drilling tools, ensuring efficient material use and compliance with environmental regulations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Implement measures to control mud and fluid discharges.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Keep accurate records of drilling activities, equipment maintenance, and deviations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Interact with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Stay informed about HDD technology advancements through training sessions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Safely operate assigned equipment, conduct pre-trip inspections, and load materials for transport</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Participate in daily job hazard analyses, utilizing directional drills to place pipes.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials, preparing documents and reports related to work, equipment, and safety.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Load materials or equipment for transport from the show-up yard to the job site and secure them appropriately.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Demonstrate advanced directional drill experience and possess the ability to travel as needed.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Prepare documents, reports, or job aids related to work, equipment, and safety as assigned.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Additional duties as needed. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 11.0pt\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>High school diploma required.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>2 or more years of experience with HDD) required. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Experience running compact excavator to assist with structure placement, grading, and general excavation.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Experience operating utility locator to assist with potholing.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Able and willing to shovel consistently and lift between 50- 75 pounds.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Current and valid insurable driver’s license (CDL A w/Tanker Endorsement Required).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Second only to safety… have a positive attitude!</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Keen sense of attention to detail.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Experience using hand tools such as quick wrenches, heads, reamers, pullers, swivels, etc.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Knowledge of mixing fluids for various ground conditions. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Have full mobility and the ability to work with your hands above your head.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·     </span></span><span>Can stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>",
