In addition to taking their client&rsquo;s psychological and emotional states into account, part of what makes social work unique is that LCSWs also examine the social and environmental factors impacting the client&rsquo;s life. In doing so, they are able to provide resources within the community that can make a positive impact on their lives. A LCSW can work in mental health facilities, social service agencies, hospitals, school systems, or even open their own private practice.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong><u>Work Experience Requirements:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Evaluating clients to determine their needs and the support options that can help them.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop clinical treatment plans to address behavior or mental health needs.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Perform suicide risk assessments, threat assessments and provide crisis de-escalation.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Perform laboratory tests and individual therapeutic services.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Coordinating services and resources, such as healthcare, community support, and financial aid, to meet clients&rsquo; needs.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Employment would be a exempt/FLSA during the SBHC calendar school year as established and approved by the governing school board.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">SBHC employees are only paid for hours worked during the time SBHC are open. SBHC employees are not paid during the summer when SBHC/schools are closed.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Work schedules are generally Monday thru Friday, based on clinical operations and during the approved SBHC calendar year (August - May).
