To help aid in the creation of this new casino culture, Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking to hire a security guard.  Our Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees and the guests. A successful Security Guard will possess keen observation skills and understand the basic card room games while demonstrating a high level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures the protection of Parkwest Bicycle Casino property and assets and the safety of customers and team members from his/her changing during the shift.</li>\n <li>Makes timely notification to the supervisor of any observation or incident, which may be inimical to the interests of Parkwest Bicycle Casino.</li>\n <li>Participates in completing box pull, ensuring that it is done efficiently and accurately and in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Responds to customer and team member requests for service in a professional and courteous manner.</li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by telephone and over the radio.</li>\n <li>Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Must be available to work any shift including weekends and holidays and overtime when necessary.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of California criminal laws and security procedures.</li>\n <li>Possess all current permits.</li>\n <li>Other job related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 21 years plus of age.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background and drug test.</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.</li>\n <li>Must understand the limits of California penal code 832 and how it applies to Security/Surveillance Officers.</li>\n <li>Must be able to meet state/county-licensing requirements for casino security officers as well as any applicable state and county and municipal licensing requirements for security officers.</li>\n <li>Must possess or have the ability to gain a valid California Guard Card.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid California Driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Must be able to maintain professional composure in urgent or tense situations.</li>\n <li>Must wear uniform as directed.</li>\n <li>Must posses strong conflict resolution skills in dealing with customers and employees.</li>\n <li>Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal communication skills and written skills.  </li>\n <li>Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education:   </strong>High school diploma or G.E.D required.
