This dual-function role encompasses planning and procurement activities, combining strategic supply planning with tactical purchasing to optimize inventory levels, meet production schedules, and drive cost efficiency.</p><p>Location : Peachtree Corners, GA&nbsp;</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3><h4><strong>Supply Planning:</strong></h4><ol><li>Develop and maintain detailed supply plans to meet demand forecasts, ensuring inventory levels are optimized to minimize costs and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.</li><li>Collaborate with production, demand planning, and logistics teams to align supply plans with overall business objectives.</li><li>Monitor and adjust supply plans based on fluctuations in demand, lead times, and production changes.</li><li>Generate reports on inventory performance, such as Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH), forecast accuracy, and service levels.</li></ol><h4><strong>Procurement (Senior Buyer Functions):</strong></h4><ol><li>Source, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and delivery standards.</li><li>Identify and evaluate new suppliers, managing vendor relationships to ensure reliability and adherence to company standards.</li><li>Analyze market trends, raw material prices, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.</li><li>Process purchase orders and manage order confirmations, ensuring timely delivery and addressing discrepancies promptly.</li></ol><h4><strong>Inventory and Logistics Management:</strong></h4><ol><li>Oversee stock replenishment, reordering, and inventory turnover to meet production requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient storage and distribution of materials.</li><li>Monitor inventory health and implement strategies to reduce waste or obsolescence.</li></ol><h4><strong>Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:</strong></h4><ol><li>Lead cross-functional meetings with teams from operations, sales, and finance to review supply chain performance and resolve bottlenecks.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement supply chain best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.</li><li>Provide mentorship and training to junior team members in procurement and supply planning processes.</li><li>All other duties as required.</li></ol><hr><h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3><h4><strong>Education:</strong></h4><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>APICS or equivalent supply chain certification (preferred).</li></ul><h4><strong>Experience:</strong></h4><ul><li>5+ years in supply chain planning, procurement, or related roles.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiation and contract management.</li><li>Experience in managing complex supply chains with multiple SKUs and suppliers.</li></ul><h4><strong>Skills:</strong></h4><ol><li>Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work with large datasets.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.</li><li>Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory management principles.</li></ol><h4><strong>Competencies:</strong></h4><ul><li>Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.</li><li>Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term goals and day-to-day operations.</li><li>Collaborative team player capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></h3><ul><li>Primarily office-based with occasional visits to supplier locations or production sites.</li><li>May require travel for supplier meetings or industry events (up to 10%).</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Performance Metrics:</strong></h3><ul><li>On-time delivery rate</li><li>Inventory turnover ratio</li><li>Cost savings through procurement negotiations</li><li>Supplier performance ratings</li></ul><p><strong data-pasted=\"true\">EOE/M/F/D/V</strong></p></div></div>\n",
