    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p>Hotel Emma is seeking a passionate, service driven candidate for the position of Assistant Controller.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Job Description</u></strong></p><p>The Assistant Controller supervises monitors and reviews all Accounting sections including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, General Cashier and Payroll; the position is also responsible for the day to day management of the finance office, supporting and reporting to the Controller.</p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Supervise staff; provide recognition, and coaching as needed.</li><li>Coordinate all on site accounting functions with the Controller.&nbsp;</li><li>Act as liaison between the ownership and the Hotel team.</li><li>Assist in attaining financial goals.</li><li>Ensure the timely billing of all direct bill accounts with complete backup and accurate invoices.</li><li>Ensure all guest disputes and requests for clarification is resolved and/or responded to in a timely manner.</li><li>Ensure an effective tracking system for all rebates/adjustments.</li><li>Ensure daily balance of the Daily Report.</li><li>Ensure Internal Audit requirements and SOP compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Completes all general ledger, bank and balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.</li><li>Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local City Licenses, Permits and tax requirements. Completes and files timely all hotel tax liabilities.</li><li>Ensure a timely month-end closing and reporting.</li><li>Produce accurate financial statements.</li><li>Assist with corporate reporting, forecasting, and budget preparations.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <u>Job Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must have 4-5 years of accounting experience preferably in the hospitality industry.</li><li>Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Director of Finance, Assistant Controller or comparable position in a luxury, independent hotel required.</li><li>Must be flexible and able to work weekends as needed during inventories, closings, etc.</li><li>Must have excellent knowledge of Excel as well as be technically strong in accounting systems, software and applications.</li><li>Experience with Opera Property Management System, UKG, Sage Intacct, CSI Payment, Fintech, Birchstreet, $$$ on the Net and Data Plus a plus.&nbsp;</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
