Over the past 30 years Knappett Industries Ltd. has maintained a strong and accelerating growth rate, with operations currently serving Western Canada.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety program</li>\n<li>Ensure the safety of workers, motorists and pedestrians within and around the site</li>\n<li>Set up traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs to guide traffic safely</li>\n<li>Identify and execute the location and means for all control points, ensuring superior visibility to oncoming traffic</li>\n<li>Direct and control traffic at construction sites or other locations as assigned</li>\n<li>Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to ensure their safety and provide directions as needed</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required, requested or assigned</li>\n<li>When not completing traffic control tasks, join the crew in laboring tasks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Valid BCCSA traffic control ticket - MUST Have</span><br></li>\n<li>Ability to take and follow instruction</li>\n<li>Professional demeanor when dealing with the public</li>\n<li>Able to work outside in all-weather at all times of the year</li>\n<li>Ability to work as a team as well as independently when required</li>\n<li>Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or more</li>\n<li>Valid provincial driver’s license<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Assets:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recent working experience in similar role</li>\n<li>1-3 year of traffic control experience</li>\n<li>Lane Closure training</li>\n<li>First aid training</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is compensated at an hourly rate. Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three month probationary period.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Compensation will be determined by the successful applicant’s level of training and experience.
