Details discussed during the interview process.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical</p>\n<p>Bridgton Hospital, Bridgton, ME  04009</p>\n<p>Full time 0700-1900| 12-Hour Shifts</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) within the Medical-Surgical unit. Responsible for direct patient care, care coordination, and clinical assessment in an acute care environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We welcome new graduate RNs and offer a structured residency program, hands-on training, and dedicated preceptor support to build confidence and clinical skills.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>New Grad Residency Program</li>\n <li>Skills training & ongoing education</li>\n <li>Career growth opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver direct patient care for assigned Medical-Surgical patients</li>\n <li>Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patient condition and response to treatment</li>\n <li>Communicate changes in condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians</li>\n <li>Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per orders</li>\n <li>Provide patient and family education and guide nursing support staff</li>\n <li>Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING</p>\n<p>1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>1. In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current. 2. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.3. Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.4. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine.
