We care for our employees and create strong teams in collaborative environments.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The <strong>Bakery Utility Clerk</strong> is responsible to ensure customer service is provided through maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to Company policies, procedures and standards. The&nbsp;Bakery Clerk&nbsp;position reports directly to the Bakery Supervisor/Bakery Manager, and the main responsibilities include;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer questions, comments, requests and complaints.&nbsp; Effectively works in a diverse team environment in a proficient and friendly manner.</li>\n <li>Performs all aspects of the Bakery Utility function including but not limited to panning and the operation of the bake-off ovens, bakery platter preparation, icing of names and/or messages on cakes, facing, stocking displays in an efficient and organized manner. Ensures display presentation and stock levels are maintained.</li>\n <li>Handles merchandise ensuring quality and minimizing damages and markdowns. Provides substitutions and ensures price integrity including price changes.</li>\n <li>Performs general clean up duties such as cleaning spills and display fixtures to ensure a neat and organized department is maintained.&nbsp;Responsible for ensuring the sales floor and back stock area are clean of cardboard and debris, including disposal of garbage.</li>\n <li>Performs duties following established Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations and policies to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.</li>\n <li>Ensures the proper care, use and maintenance of equipment and tools; and reports repair requirements to the Bakery Supervisor, Manager or Duty Manager.</li>\n <li>Responsible for all aspects of ordering merchandise and supplies.</li>\n <li>Responsible for all aspects of receiving including reviewing / verifying invoices, returns, transfers, claims and proper storage of products.</li>\n <li>Assists in organizing and conducting inventory</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What skills and abilities will you need to be considered?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience</li>\n <li>Bakery retail or related retail experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>What skills and abilities will set you apart from others?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be fluent in English&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Bakery product knowledge/experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:36pt\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Benefits &amp; Perks&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Calgary Co-op has excellent opportunities for increasing levels of responsibility, personal growth, and challenge.
