    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\">Paginator Job Summary: &nbsp;</p><p>Are you a believer in local journalism? Do you have newspaper page design skills? A deep knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop? Can you work swiftly and effectively in a remote team environment?<br>&nbsp;<br>Adams Publishing Group is a family-owned company with more than 125 news titles in several states across the U.S. in all time zones. As APG builds a centralized but virtual commercial pagination team, we are looking for creative-minded people who work efficiently and collaboratively to produce pages for newspapers across the country. &nbsp;</p><p>Expectations:<br>Because we handle so many different projects and locations, quality and quantity are both important. Team members are expected to:<br>&bull; Complete a minimum of 3-4 Broadsheet pages per hour 6-7 tab pages per hour.<br>&bull; Communicate well with remote editors and team members, via online chats, emails, but most specifically through the online proofing/output process.<br>&bull; Ability to problem-solve and work on multiple papers during each production shift. Paginators will average between 20-30 pages in a 7.5 hour shift.<br>&bull; Remote paginators will be provided a company computer and monitor with access to all the programs required for the job. Employees will be responsible for maintaining and paying for a stable internet connection.&nbsp;</p><p>Scheduling hours/ Work Shifts:<br>Our team operates at various hours with our full-time positions working 37.5 hours per week. We work various shifts to meet the needs of our customers and look for opportunities to match work-day hours to schedules that fit employees&rsquo; needs as well. We are open to discussions about potential schedules. Availability on nights and weekends may be required as this division adds more clients/titles.&nbsp;</p><p>Essential Functions:<br>&bull; Follow design guidelines to produce layouts using desktop publishing software including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, etc.<br>&bull; Edit graphics and photos. This includes cropping, color correction, sizing, changing color depth, and collecting graphics and art for use in layout<br>&bull; Troubleshoot issues with pages that fail to output correctly.<br>&bull; Convert, upload files for use online&nbsp;</p><p>Minimum Requirements:<br>&bull; Working knowledge of basic Google and Microsoft communications tools, and Adobe Suite software. Familiarity with AP style. Must be able to work at a pace of 4 Broadsheet or 6-7 tab pages per hour. Paginators who do not meet this workflow standard will be terminated if their production does not improve after a 90-day period.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<br>Preferred:<br>College degree and/or experience in journalism.
