This role focuses on <strong>hands‑on development</strong>, <strong>data transformation</strong>, and <strong>production support</strong> across SAS (9.x & Viya 4) and Oracle platforms.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who is comfortable working in <strong>rules‑driven, audit‑sensitive environments</strong>, partnering with senior developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and usability.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Data Engineering & Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and maintain <strong>SAS (9 and Viya) and Oracle SQL</strong> logic supporting data pipelines, transformations, and curated data assets.</li>\n <li>Build and maintain <strong>reporting tables</strong> aligned to defined KPIs and business rules.</li>\n <li>Develop and enhance <strong>Oracle views, packages, procedures, and validation logic</strong> used across analytics and downstream integrations.</li>\n <li>Support SAS‑based ETL/ELT workflows that integrate data from Orion, GIDB, EDW, operational systems, and external sources.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Data Quality, Validation & Audit Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement <strong>data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and validation controls</strong> to ensure reporting accuracy.</li>\n <li>Support historical traceability and reproducibility of results for finance, sales, and audit use cases.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and remediate data issues raised by downstream consumers (Finance, Sales Ops).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Integration & Change Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Adapt SAS and Oracle logic to upstream data changes from platforms such as EDW, PDH, and third‑party sources.</li>\n <li>Implement defensive logic when upstream data is incomplete, inconsistent, or delayed.</li>\n <li>Partner with senior team members during release cycles to ensure integration stability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Production & Operational Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support scheduled releases, including pre‑release validation, production troubleshooting, and post‑deployment fixes.</li>\n <li>Investigate job failures, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.</li>\n <li>Contribute to operational improvements that reduce rework, technical debt, and manual intervention.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Collaboration & Documentation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business partners to clarify requirements and data definitions.</li>\n <li>Maintain technical documentation, metadata, and business logic descriptions.</li>\n <li>Work in an Agile environment using Jira.</li>\n <li>Use <strong>GitHub and VS Code</strong> to manage source control, code reviews, and collaborative development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Technical Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong experience with <strong>SAS 9 and/or SAS Viya</strong> development in enterprise data environments.</li>\n <li>Advanced <strong>Oracle SQL</strong> experience, including views, procedures, packages, and performance optimization.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of implementing <strong>business rules in data logic</strong>.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting <strong>production data systems</strong> with regular release cycles.</li>\n <li>Practical experience using <strong>VS Code and GitHub</strong> for source control and team development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to <strong>revenue, pipeline, sales credit, or financial reporting</strong> data.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with <strong>audit‑ or compliance‑driven data environments</strong>.</li>\n <li>Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy SAS or Oracle codebases.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of data lineage, historical tracking, or slowly changing dimensions.</li>\n <li>Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot or similar).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What Success Looks Like in This Role</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You become productive quickly in an established SAS and Oracle codebase.</li>\n <li>You independently own well‑defined development and support work, reducing strain on senior engineers.</li>\n <li>You improve data reliability, performance, and confidence without redesigning the platform.</li>\n <li>You collaborate effectively, ask the right questions, and deliver accurate, reliable solutions in a complex environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Team & Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Part of the <strong>Business Data & Analytics (DMA)</strong> organization supporting multiple enterprise stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Highly collaborative team of data engineers, analysts, and business partners.</li>\n <li>Strong emphasis on <strong>data accuracy, auditability, and operational reliability</strong> throughout the development life cycle.</li>\n</ul>",
