Description This position technically supports development of significant alterations to existing systems, supports integration and interface of existing equipment or software into different applications or platforms, and support evaluation of foreign or non-developmental systems, equipment, and technologies. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: Testing and operationally checking and verifying individual and system components Developing and reviewing system and component test documents Attending design reviews and providing technical feedback for engineering design documents Attending daily, weekly, and monthly status meetings Providing input to weekly and monthly program status reports Providing on-site and deployed support for system installations and testing when required Providing system integration effort (rack builds) Providing other tasks required to support the engineering effort #LI-SF1 Requirements Six years experience with Associate's degree/formal training or 10 years with HS/GED of practical experience to include: Design, preparation and modification of engineering documents and drawings Associate’s degree in engineering technology, math, or science; or formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED Notable experience performing one or a combination of the following duties: Designing, developing, and constructing major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests or experiments Analyzing results and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance and reports results from general guidelines and specifications (e.g., size or weight requirements) Developing designs for equipment without critical performance requirements that are difficult to satisfy such as engine parts, research instruments, or special purpose circuitry Analyzing technical data to determine applicability to design problems Selecting from several possible design layouts Calculating design data; and preparing layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, etc. Checking and analyzing drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design and plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance Determining test requirements, equipment modification, and test procedures Conducting tests using all types of instruments Analyzing and evaluating test results and preparing reports on findings and recommendations Shall be capable of performing non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others Desired Skills Harris HF radios (i.e. PRC-117G or SY-117G and or SG-250X) experience Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL Travel Requirements 5% travel About Us Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
