    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY</u></strong></p>\n<p>Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, projects, and initiatives to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety at the Vertiv Anderson facility. Provides direction to the plant management team for the development and implementation of risk reduction solutions, safety best practices, and continuous improvements to drive to zero injuries. Ensures strict compliance with national, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety culture.</li>\n <li>Identify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Learning and Development team to evaluate, develop, and implement required EHS training for employees.</li>\n <li>Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).</li>\n <li>Coordinate EHS metrics and best practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).</li>\n <li>Ensure new equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly lines are implemented following all applicable safety and environmental regulatory requirements and Vertiv best practices.</li>\n <li>Advise the EHS leader on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, and policies.</li>\n <li>Measure and monitor environmental impacts in conformance with Vertiv’s environmental policy and government regulations.</li>\n <li>Establish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems, programs, policies, and procedures to reduce or eliminate risk with the goal of zero injuries.</li>\n <li>Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.</li>\n <li>Maintain an employee safety committee, safety suggestion program, and safety promotional activities.</li>\n <li>Maintain site safety records, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), and Ergonomic Assessments.</li>\n <li>Maintain incident and injury records and logs as required by OSHA and Vertiv</li>\n <li>Ensure all EPA regulatory requirements are met, including but not limited to, hazardous/non-hazardous waste, stormwater permitting, SARA Title III &amp; EPCRA Title I/II reporting, wastewater discharge, SPCC Plans, etc.</li>\n <li>Ensure Hazmat shipping registration and vendor contracts are properly managed.</li>\n <li>Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and attend hearings as required.</li>\n <li>Manage and support the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and local Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)</li>\n <li>Normal work week is day shift Monday-Friday, but some after-hours and weekend work may be required for off-shift training, emergencies, or other special situations.</li>\n <li>Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong>(education, experience level, knowledge, skills, designations/certifications).</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety experience.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 4-8 years EHS experience in manufacturing operations or equivalent. Warehousing/kitting (bundling) experience preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Federal DOT knowledge is a plus.</li>\n <li>Broad knowledge of NFPA 70E</li>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of DOT hazardous materials shipping regulations</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and research skills</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.</li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong customer service skills&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence necessary levels of management in integrating safe and healthy behaviors in day-day operations.</li>\n</ul>",
