As the Director of Engineering, you will oversee a dynamic team and be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all engineering operations for our properties on Mackinac Island to  ensure seamless operations and a superior guest experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for problem-solving, and possess excellent leadership skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a lasting impact in the hospitality industry. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize engineering operations and enhance overall efficiency.</li>\n <li>Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of the property's infrastructure and systems.</li>\n <li>Manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to drive excellence.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering services.</li>\n <li>Implement sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives to promote energy conservation.</li>\n <li>Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.</li>\n <li>Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and exceptional service delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director required</li>\n <li>Hotel, institutional, HVAC systems experience of 3-5 years</li>\n <li>Refrigeration, HVAC certification</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, preventative maintenance systems etc</li>\n <li>Budget management, cost control and financial responsibility experience with stationary engineering licensed  preferred Valid Driver’s license</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>Davidson Hospitality Group is an award-winning, full-service hospitality management company overseeing hotels, restaurants, dining and entertainment venues across the US.
