Job Description: The Role The Director, Alternative Investment Project Management and Strategic Initiatives, will collaborate cross functionally to assist in the establishment of supporting infrastructure and framework for new alternative investments. The successful candidate will: Program manage alternative product launches and other alts initiatives.  Coordinate activities across all key stakeholder groups including Product, Product Governance, Legal, Compliance, TO, Investment Operations, FFIO, Distribution and Marketing/Communications and others as needed.  As part of this, collaborate with group leads to identify key tasks, resource requirements and critical dependencies to launch new alternative products Identify, develop, and promote repeatable and scalable processes and frameworks needed to support alternative investments Have exposure to senior management across AM and the broader Fidelity organization; must possess executive presence and professionalism. Successfully navigate the organization, build strong working relationships with key business stakeholders, and develop a strong professional network. Quickly learn complex business processes associated with starting new alternative investment and products Be skilled in synthesizing complex ideas into easy-to-understand materials, including delivery of key concepts to a cross functional audience with varying seniority levels Need to be comfortable taking direction from multiple leaders, open to constructive feedback, and working independently and with ambiguity. The Expertise and Skills you Bring 7 plus years work experience in financial services organizations Excellent project management skills, top tier consulting experience is a plus Strong understanding of the asset management industry (working knowledge of alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, real assets, direct lending, and structured products is a plus) Ability to break down sophisticated products and structures for various levels of staff Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence Proven track record when working with uncertainty and successfully delivering large, complex, and strategic initiatives Outstanding collaboration skills and ability to partner and effectively influence across a variety of senior stakeholders MBA or other advanced degree preferred Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are musts. The Team The Alts Project Management & Strategic Initiatives team was founded in 2023 to establish supporting infrastructure and framework for proprietary alternatives, from tactical execution to strategic design & implementation, provide centralized program management for alts fund launches and other cross-functional initiatives, drive meaningful improvement of the alts operating model, and centralize alts infrastructure coordination activities and prioritization. #FidelityAlts The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$222,000 per year.   Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
