As one of New England&rsquo;s most established vocational institutions, we take seriously our role in preparing students for careers that matter.</p><p>The Director of HVAC/R leads the full instructional operation of our HVAC/R department&mdash;overseeing day, afternoon, and evening shifts and managing a team that includes instructors, shift leads, and lab assistants. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable on the floor with students as they are collaborating with campus leadership.</p><p>The right candidate brings deep technical knowledge of HVAC/R systems, a proven ability to develop instructional staff, and the operational discipline to run a multi-shift department with consistency and accountability. If you&rsquo;re looking for a role where your expertise directly shapes real career outcomes for real people&mdash;this is it.</p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Lead all aspects of the HVAC/R training program across day, afternoon, and evening shifts</li><li>Stay actively involved in instruction&mdash;teaching, demonstrating, and stepping in when coverage is needed</li><li>Recruit, train, coach, and develop a team of HVAC/R instructors</li><li>Drive student success by engaging with students from orientation through graduation</li><li>Partner with campus leadership to monitor progress, improve outcomes, and prepare students for licensing and careers</li><li>Oversee scheduling, staffing, and daily operations to ensure consistent training across all shifts</li><li>Manage tools, equipment, and departmental budget</li><li>Ensure curriculum aligns with state licensing requirements&nbsp;and industry standards</li><li>Maintain a safe, compliant training environment in line with OSHA and regulatory requirements</li><li>Serve as the go-to leader for resolving student and instructor concerns</li></ul><p><strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of hands-on HVAC/R experience&nbsp;(installation, service, troubleshooting)</li><li>EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)</li><li>Leadership or supervisory experience (in the field or training environment)</li><li>Ability and willingness to stay hands-on in daily instruction</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills</li><li>A passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed</li><li>Experience working across multiple shifts or managing schedules is a plus</li><li>Prior experience in a training or educational environment is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>Why NETTTS?</strong></p><p>At NETTTS, you&rsquo;re not just filling a role&mdash;you&rsquo;re building careers.
