The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA’s Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA’s internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive Network Administrator to support mission-critical federal IT infrastructure. You will monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and escalate incidents within federal networks and systems to ensure optimal performance and continuous availability. This role is part of a 24/7/365 operations environment and may require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Primary focus will be on, handling internal projects for operations, supporting driving time-sensitive initiatives, supports ITIL service area activities (problem management, incident management, service request fulfillment, etc.) and specific tasks to a successful conclusion, operations management, configuration/change management, service level agreements (SLA). This position requires U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance.</p>\n<p>Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday 0600 - 1800 EST.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and assess federal network infrastructure, systems, and applications using enterprise monitoring tools.</li>\n <li>Identify, assess, and respond to real-time network and system issues, ensuring timely resolution or proper escalation.</li>\n <li>Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.</li>\n <li>Escalate to senior engineering staff if issue is not resolved.</li>\n <li>Document and execute incidents, changes, and resolutions accurately in ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).</li>\n <li>Collaborate with federal and contractor teams including network engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and system administrators.</li>\n <li>Execute standard operating procedures and provide input to enhance operational documentation.</li>\n <li>Support compliance with federal IT security policies and incident response protocols.</li>\n <li>Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and emergency outages as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintain situational awareness of the health of IT infrastructure and provide regular status reports. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience in a network operations, help desk, or IT support role or Masters degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.</li>\n <li>Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.</li>\n <li>Oral and written communication for change procedures, and management updates </li>\n <li>Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or similar).</li>\n <li>Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols.</li>\n <li>Experience with Remedy Ticketing system.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a high-availability, fast-paced environment with attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Must possess an active Security+ or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Technology: Prior experience with OSI Layers, Security, Storage, VMWare, System/Network Admin</li>\n <li>Tools: Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Remedy/ServiceNow, Wiki’s, MS Project</li>\n <li>Certifications: Cloud, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Posted Min Pay Rate</h2>USD $80,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Posted Max Pay Rate</h2>USD $100,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Salary Disclosure</h2>Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
