The Regulation Coach provides close supervision, counseling, and support to the children during all cottage-based activities. The Regulation Coach is responsible to plan and implement individual and group initiatives to build children&rsquo;s skills and self-esteem.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Schedule of Regulation Coach 1:1 Saturday and Sunday 9am-9am (20)</strong></u></p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties of Regulation Coach 1:1</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assuring the safety of each resident and for the cottage community&nbsp;</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Actively supervising the residents at all times, based on their age and level, to assure everyone&rsquo;s safety.</li></ul><ul><li>Supervising the residents by participating with them in scheduled activities</li><li>Enacting the program schedule as written and on time</li><li>Using all aspects of Sanctuary in the care s/he provides</li><li>Using all aspects of trauma sensitive care in the services s/he provides</li><li>Using all techniques of TCI to prevent triggering, to intervene early to prevent escalation to crisis, for safe management of any crisis that does arise, and for assuring safety and learning after any crisis. &nbsp;This includes becoming skilled in LSIs and conflict resolutions, and conducting them for even minor conflicts, to minimize the occurrence of larger conflicts.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assuring that Safety Plans and ICMPs are in place, available to all staff and actively used to guide treatment.</li><li>Understanding the importance of and takes responsibility for team work and good communication</li><li>Planning and enacting smooth transitions from one activity to the next</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Regulation Coach works with the residents as equal partners in their own treatment, and in the creation of the therapeutic community and the rules and programming of the cottage. &nbsp;</p><p>Regulation Coach actively engages actively in his or her supervision with the Cottage Program Manager. Assures that residents are always actively supervised by staff, based on their age and level, to assure everyone&rsquo;s safety. Enact a consistent, predictable program structure. Teach residents self-soothing techniques and pro-social behavior, including helping residents to practice their Safety Plans while calm multiple times each day.</p><ul><li>Teach and help children to care for their physical health and hygiene, and supports other staff in doing so. Establish caring, therapeutic, appropriate relationships with all residents, and support other staff in doing so Use the core features of trauma sensitive care.</li><li>Moving from control/coercion to collaboration, by offering choices to residents rather than &ldquo;directives,&rdquo; inviting residents to work with their staff, thus giving residents the experience of being &ldquo;done with&rdquo; rather than another experience of being &ldquo;done to&rdquo; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Offering empowerment to residents, in which they are given a real and active voice in the care they receive, the rules and programming of the cottage, and in the creation of the own cottage community.</li><li>The use of the Public Health Model of Prevention.</li><li>Focus on the early use to TCI skills to help residents de-escalate when triggered, to avoid escalation to crisis&rsquo;</li><li>Following up on crises by assuring everyone&rsquo;s emotional safety and return to baseline, and on debriefing each crisis to learn from it and identify strategies to avoid the likelihood of a recurrence.</li><li>An active focus on the real and inherent strengths of each resident, including the use of specific, accurate compliments, thus avoiding a negative approach that focuses on pathology or deficit.&nbsp;</li><li>The active use of data on the cottage program and/or specific residents to identify and address areas that are working and should be bolstered, and on areas needing improvement. &nbsp;Collaborates with the Program Manager to assure that concrete, specific plans for adjustment or corrective action based on the data are enacted</li><li>A sincere and active interest in including the input of residents and families in an effort to improve our program.&nbsp;</li><li>Active awareness and verbal expression that recovery is possible for all our residents.</li><li>Supports overall strategic plan of the organization</li><li>Ability to adhere to our organization&rsquo;s core values and commitments&nbsp;</li></ul><p><u><strong>Essential Qualifications of Regulation Coach 1:1</strong></u></p><ul><li>High School Diploma with 3 years practical work experience OR 60 College credits.</li><li>A valid driver&rsquo;s license in good standing for a minimum of 3 years</li><li id=\"isPasted\">The ability to maintain a driver&rsquo;s license in good standing according to our policy is required</li><li>Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills</li><li>Ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Physical/Travel Requirements of Regulation Coach 1:1&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must have ability to reach, walk, sit for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend, kneel, lift up to 20lbs, and able to travel.&nbsp;</li><li>Candidates who are successfully hired, must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training which concludes with a written and verbal test, and you will be evaluated on conducting a proper physical restraint.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>The employee must be able to meet these requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation.</p><p><strong><u>Disclaimer&nbsp;</u></strong><br>&nbsp;Nothing in this job description restricts Andrus&rsquo; right to modify the duties/responsibilities of this job at any time, with or without advanced notice.</p><p><strong><u>EEO Statement&nbsp;</u></strong><br>&nbsp;Andrus is an equal opportunity employer.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
