To drive a delivery vehicle to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Deliveries are to be done safely and within the State and Federal guidelines.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location</strong></p><p>This position will be performed onsite at our store. Remote work is not available for this role.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Outcomes for Success</strong></p><ul><li>Act in alignment with our Core Values to create exceptional customer experiences.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure you, your peers, our customers, and suppliers remain safe while in our facilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Understand and follow the TAL PPE requirements as outlined in the TAL PPE Matrix by wearing the required PPE at all times.</li><li>Load, deliver, and unload materials as a service to customers.</li><li>Prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.</li><li>Operate various types of equipment and vehicles in a safe and professional manner.</li><li>Report on vehicles and equipment needing service and repair.</li><li>Maintain necessary trip logs, vehicle inspection reports and other required documentation.</li><li>Driving truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, knowledge of the roads in the area and being aware of hazardous conditions.</li><li>Verify load against shipping papers.</li><li>Prepare receipts for load picked up and for returns.</li><li>Assist in keeping the yard clean and orderly. Report any unsafe conditions.</li><li>Assist with building loads, as required.</li><li>Develop an understanding of basic products and commodities.</li><li>Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.</li><li>Utilize phone apps as required by our TAL Fleet Management Program.</li><li>Follow our MVR Guidelines and TAL Fleet Management Program to ensure compliance with TAL Building Centers standards, FMCSA, and other governing bodies.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>May perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Benefits are an important part of overall compensation.
