For more information, visit www.eaglepicher.com.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p>\n<p>This position is located at our SOUTHBRIDGE, MA. facility and may be filled on the first, second or third shift, depending upon the ideal candidate.  An integral member of the production team, the Assembler will use technical directives, work instructions, blueprints & schematics to build to specification, critical components for batteries used for aerospace, defense and commercial aviation applications. This position will also liaise with engineers on troubleshooting and process improvements.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety or tools and equipment</li>\n <li>Collect materials and equipment needed to begin assembly process</li>\n <li>Perform inspections and measure parts using basic measuring tools</li>\n <li>Achieve applied and earned production rates to standard and communicate issues that could cause unfavorable rates</li>\n <li>Perform basic preventative maintenance, as trained, for required tools and equipment</li>\n <li>Document actions by completing required production documentation, both written and electronic</li>\n <li>Working as part of team, accomplish department goals</li>\n <li>Adhere to company safety requirements and wear PPE as directed / required</li>\n <li>Read, interpret and follow detailed instruction to complete the highest quality product</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned as business needs dictate</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong>To succeed in this position:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>\n <li>1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 standards for quality control preferred</li>\n <li>Strong technical, mechanical, and or electrical aptitude</li>\n <li>Fine motor skills, and the ability to work with small parts and components</li>\n <li>Effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) and highly organized</li>\n <li>US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferences:</strong>In addition to meeting the basic requirements, the most successful candidate will also have:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to work flexible hours when required</li>\n <li>Excellent record of attendance and reliability</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The salary range for this position is $18.50-$20.50 an hour and represents the minimum and maximum for the position.  The actual range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to: prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications and internal equity.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
