He/she is responsible for conducting outreach, advocacy, and developing sober social and support activities. The Recovery Coach documents all provided services in a manner that is compliant with regulatory and funding agents. He/she delivers services to the participants on-site and in the community.</p><p><strong>SPECIFIC DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>1. Contributes to the development of the ethical framework for delivery of recovery services and conducts all recovery coaching activities within this framework.</p><p>2. Contributes to the development of a community resource book.</p><p>3. Assists the participants in completing a Wellness Plan.</p><p>4. Provides guidance, support and recovery coaching for participants in accordance with Wellness Plan and engages in recovery activities and support services.</p><p>5. Conducts outreach activities in the community.</p><p>6. Organizes community-based pro-social activities and events.</p><p>7. Maintain weekly contact with each participant for at least one half hour.</p><p>8. Attends monthly Recovery Coach support group.</p><p>9. Helps to facilitate Peer to Peer recovery support groups.</p><p>10. Maintains weekly Recovery Coach contact log.</p><p>11. Conducts educational presentations for providers of local recovery support services.</p><p>12. Conducts educational presentations to groups of prospective Recovery Coaches.</p><p>13. Conducts educational presentation to groups of prospective participants.</p><p>14. Eligible to serve on Consumer Advisory Board and project steering committee.</p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><p>1. High School Diploma or G.E.D.</p><p>2. Ability to deliver culturally competent services to a diverse client population in an urban setting.</p><p>3. Familiarity with the project&#39;s ethical framework for recovery services and the Recovery Self-Assessment and Planning Guide.</p><p>4. A minimum of six months of community-based recovery with at least six consecutive months of abstinence at the time of enrollment.</p><p>5. Good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic about recovery.</p><p>6. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.</p><p>7.
