We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented <strong>Test Engineer</strong> to support the performance, reliability, and quality of our custom automation equipment and tooling systems. In this role, you will execute test procedures, troubleshoot automation technologies, document results, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance testing processes. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on automation experience who thrives in a manufacturing environment.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform functional and performance testing on automation tools, fixtures, and components.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls and software-related issues within test setups.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Manage test data, document results, and identify system flaws.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Record test outcomes, anomalies, and corrective actions in a clear, organized manner.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve test procedures and tooling designs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist in the development, testing, and validation of new automation tools and fixtures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain test equipment and ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support root cause analysis and corrective action plans for test failures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform additional related duties as needed.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Details about the role:</strong></p><p><strong>Work location:</strong> Pontiac, MI</p><p><strong>Work type:</strong> On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.</p><p><strong>Expected hours of work:</strong> Typical work schedules for this site are 6am-430pm, Monday to Thursday.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Overtime:</strong> This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.</p><p><strong>Travel:</strong> This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or local travel to other Paslin locations.</p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong>: This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.</p><p><strong>Direct Reports:</strong> This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and does not have direct reports.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Demands:</strong> The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. This role requires the use of hand tools. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Candidate Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related fields preferred.</li><li>2+ years in a test technician or test engineering role.</li><li>Hands-on experience testing PLCs, sensors, actuators, and industrial automation systems.</li><li>Exposure to software/coding within automated systems.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings, including control diagrams and electrical/mechanical layouts.&nbsp;</li><li>Previous experience with PLC Studio 5000.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to safely make 480VAC, 120VAC, and Ethernet connections.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic mechanical skills (e.g., removing VFD covers, aligning switches).&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with ISO or other quality standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written communication skills for documenting technical assessments.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to independently manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>What&rsquo;s in It for You:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Competitive pay and great benefits.
