    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Markon is seeking a System Engineer Level 2 to provide technical leadership for the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of mission-critical communications and networking systems for the Fort Meade Customer. This role leads the implementation of packet-based hardware and software solutions utilizing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies while driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components. The position serves as a senior technical authority responsible for ensuring interoperability, operational performance, system reliability, and mission success across complex enterprise environments.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems</li>\n <li>Support end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure components</li>\n <li>Develop and implement system architectures, integration strategies, and technical solutions</li>\n <li>Perform requirements analysis, system design, engineering assessments, and technical evaluations</li>\n <li>Conduct system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities</li>\n <li>Ensure interoperability, performance, reliability, and maintainability of deployed systems</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test plans, deployment procedures, and technical artifacts</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Government stakeholders, vendors, engineers, and operational teams to support mission objectives</li>\n <li>Support technology refresh, modernization, and capability enhancement initiatives</li>\n <li>Provide technical guidance and support throughout the system lifecycle</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with ths customer </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required</li>\n <li>14+ years of systems engineering, systems integration, or related technical experience</li>\n <li>Experience leading the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based systems</li>\n <li>Experience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions</li>\n <li>Strong experience driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components</li>\n <li>Experience developing system architectures and integration strategies</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of networking technologies, systems engineering principles, and lifecycle processes</li>\n <li>Experience supporting enterprise, communications, or mission-critical technology environments</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, mission-focused environment supporting complex technical programs</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>USD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
