At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>E2 is seeking a <strong>Senior Transmission Line Engineer</strong> to lead the design and delivery of overhead transmission line projects ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV. This role serves as a technical leader responsible for complex design execution, quality assurance, and mentorship of junior staff while supporting project managers and interfacing directly with utility clients.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in transmission line design, strong proficiency in industry tools, and the ability to drive production efficiency without compromising quality.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Technical Leadership & Design</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the design of overhead transmission lines, including: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Routing support and constructability input </li>\n   <li>Structure spotting and optimization </li>\n   <li>Plan & profile development </li>\n   <li>Conductor selection and hardware specification </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Perform and oversee advanced engineering analyses: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Sag-tension modeling </li>\n   <li>Clearance compliance (NESC, GO 95, utility-specific standards) </li>\n   <li>Load tree development and design criteria validation </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Serve as the technical authority for PLS-CADD models and outputs </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Assurance & Oversight</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform QA/QC reviews of design packages, drawings, and calculations </li>\n <li>Ensure consistency with client standards and regulatory requirements </li>\n <li>Identify and resolve complex design challenges and risks </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Project Delivery</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support project managers in maintaining schedule, scope, and budget </li>\n <li>Drive production efficiency to meet high-volume delivery targets </li>\n <li>Coordinate with structural engineers, survey teams, environmental, and permitting teams </li>\n <li>Support construction by responding to RFIs and field issues </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Client Interface</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as a primary technical point of contact for utility clients </li>\n <li>Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and stakeholder coordination </li>\n <li>Support proposal development, scope definition, and level-of-effort estimates </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Mentorship & Team Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry-level and mid-level engineers </li>\n <li>Review and improve team workflows, standards, and best practices </li>\n <li>Support training in PLS-CADD and transmission line design fundamentals</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering</li>\n <li>7–12+ years of transmission line engineering experience</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency in PLS-CADD (required)</li>\n <li>Experience with PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of NESC, GO 95, and utility-specific design standards</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading design efforts and QA/QC reviews</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with major utilities (e.g., SCE, PG&E, SDG&E, WECC region utilities)</li>\n <li>Experience supporting high-volume production environments</li>\n <li>Familiarity with LiDAR, GIS integration, and digital terrain modeling</li>\n <li>Experience supporting construction or field engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong>E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc.</strong> offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.</p>\n<h2>Wage Data Per State Requirements</h2>\n<p>Salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000.
