Description

Overview LMI is seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lead to support the General Services Administration (GSA) in delivering advanced AI-enabled capabilities within a modern, web-based acquisitions system. This initiative modernizes Governmentwide Indefinite Delivery Vehicle (IDV) contracting through modular, cloud-based services that improve efficiency, automation, and decision support across the acquisition lifecycle. The AI Lead will serve as the senior authority responsible for defining and implementing the AI technical approach across the program. This individual must possess deep, hands-on expertise in integrating and orchestrating multiple AI agents into a cohesive, autonomous ecosystem and ensure the development team consistently follows that approach. AI capabilities are designed to provide decision support and transparency while preserving human oversight and contracting officer judgment. The ideal candidate combines advanced AI/ML expertise, production-level deployment experience, federal governance knowledge, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in secure, cloud-based environments. This position is anticipated to be majority remote, but with the ability to travel and visit the client’s offices in Washington, D.C. as frequently as needed. Support security documentation and controls required for the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process for cloud-based systems Champion ethical, transparent, and compliant use of AI and data across the program Ensure data provenance, model transparency, explainability, and auditability to support trust and oversight.
