TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level II Trauma Center </li>\n <li>Primary Stroke Center </li>\n <li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li>\n <li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li>\n <li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. </p>\n<h2>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists nurses, physicians, and mid-level practitioners in delivering patient care safely. </li>\n <li>Assists in coordinating patient care with other departments. </li>\n <li>Assists in maintaining a well-stocked (with no expired supplies/equipment) and clean Emergency Department (ED). </li>\n <li>Provides basic life support, emergency care, and transportation to the sick and/or injured (as needed)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Reports:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>RN, Assistant Nurse Managers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>None</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma (or equivalent). </li>\n <li>Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) completion (16-hours). </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<p>Minimum: None</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Preferred Experience: Six (6) months of Emergency Care Technician I (JC: 770105) or Emergency Care Technician II (JC: 770205) experience (or equivalent) in an ED setting.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Certification/License/Registry:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXIX (Public Health), Chapter 401 (Medical Telecommunications and Transportation), Part III (Medical Transportation Services).</li>\n <li>Passed monitor examination within six (6) months post-hire</li>\n <li> Florida Class “E” driver license.\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Note: </strong>Incumbent operates a TMH vehicle and requires a valid state driver license. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment. Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).</li>\n <li> Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Awareness certification.</li>\n <li> Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) completion (16-hours) certification</li>\n <li>Meets all current, applicable requirements in Florida Statutes, Title XXIX, Chapter 401, Part III and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64J-1 (Emergency Medical Services). \n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Note</strong>: All certificates and licenses must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>-</h2>\n<p><em>Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
