The company also manufactures and markets Mrs. Richardson's dessert sauces and Nance's mustards/condiments in addition to producing finished goods for the private label sector. BRF maintains its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Macedon, New York; with a Culinary Innovation Center in Westmont, Illinois; and offices and manufacturing facilities in Williamson, New York; Pennsauken, New Jersey; and Corona, California. This role will be based in our Innovation & Culinary center in Westmont, IL . WHAT WE NEED The Senior Corporate Chef will drive the innovation of culinary products and platforms, through commercialization, for the organization. This position will collaborate with internal teams to increase customer opportunities (R&D, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Operations) through development of prototypes and samples. Along with their culinary expertise and passion, they will inspire the organization to be more creative. WHAT YOU WILL DO Creates gold standard formulas and bench prototypes across categories: Beverage Syrups & Aseptic Beverages Low Water Activity Fillings Fudges, Caramels, and Particulates Savory/Emulsified Sauces and Condiments Collaborates with cross-functional partners to support brainstorming and ideation initiatives for assigned projects. (R&D, Marketing, Sales) Contribute expertise on flavor development for new and existing products. Works with their manager to translate key strategic initiatives for all products and customers. Responsible for staying abreast of industry news and trends to assist with forming product strategies to positively impact the business. Execute innovation and enhanced capability presentations to customers. Creates menu/recipes for culinary customer experiences. Acts as a liaison and articulates customer needs back to organization. Understand the customer’s operational platforms and develop products to meet their needs. Assumes responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and supplier networks. Participates in product innovation sessions and consumer research sessions where necessary. Supports organization of culinary kitchen and prep room. Supports proper sanitation and safety in culinary facilities. Supports culinary facility to include receiving, stocking, storing, and security of food and other supplies. Supports maintenance for culinary equipment and machinery. Supports inventory tracking and preparation for inventory control reports. Coordinates lab setup and supplies for work sessions and culinary events. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Associates degree in Culinary Arts, Culinology, or Certified Research Chef. Five (5+) years of technical product innovation experience. Experience with manufacturing and commercialization of liquid food products. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
