As a Trading Fee Analyst , you will have an opportunity to rapidly develop your accounting and analysis skills in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment that is made of up a diverse set of trading businesses and other private investments. What you’ll do in this role: Validate exchange rebate invoices from exchanges and brokers for accuracy against fee schedules, trade activity, and contractual terms. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, working with exchanges, brokers, and internal stakeholders to obtain corrected invoices or adjustments as needed. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of exchange and brokerage invoices, including proper coding, approval workflows, and payment reconciliations. Partner with Accounting to ensure all spend is properly accounted for in the general ledger. Analyze fee trends, rebate programs, and cost-saving opportunities; prepare management-friendly reports and dashboards; drive data-driven process improvements. Work with Operations to ensure fee and rebates are appropriately captured in back office systems ensuring clean reconciliations with banks and brokers. Own accrual reconciliation process while working to enhance completeness and accuracy. Act as a subject matter expert for exchange rebate programs. Prepare fee reporting by product and exchange. Analyze fee trends, rebate programs; address ad-hoc request for information to management. Collaborate on cross-functional projects to optimize end-to-end trade lifecycle processes and control environments. What you’ll need for this role: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 7-10+ years of previous experience working in trading firms, prime brokerage, hedge funds, or other similar asset management firms preferred Strong organization skills and detail orientation, with ability to prioritize, multitask and effectively Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; demonstrated ability to identify issues, assess options, and implement solutions. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, index/match, dashboards). Familiarity with accounting processes (AP, GL, month-end close) and internal control frameworks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (AP, Accounting, Operations, Front Office). The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
