Provide feedback to team members to encourage expected/exceptional performance and/or to stop negative behaviors or results. Document interactions in a timely manner.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Assist with hiring, training, and development of all freight handlers. Provide all team members with the tools and resources needed to be successful.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Work directly with customers, following specific directions of handling accounts to exceed customer satisfaction by managing dock operations for on-time, error free deliveries.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight. Work with team member(s) to identify and rectify unsafe practices, document the interaction(s), and follow up as needed to ensure unsafe/unwanted performance does not repeat.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Assist in unloading and loading of freight as needed, to support team.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Safeguard cross-dock operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Conduct daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company laws, regulations, and policies.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Assist with development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives as directed. Take initiative to offer suggestions on needed improvements to streamline processes and/or save the company money.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Address conflict by facilitating issue resolution between team members and/or customers as needed. Evenings, overnights, and weekends are required based on location and needs of business.</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Background and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Proven successful warehouse, cross-dock, or related experience.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Proven successful supervisory experience.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><ul><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">This job operates in a warehouse environment with unforgiving surfaces as well as hot and cold climates with a variety of noises and odors. Prolonged periods of standing and sitting with regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, copier, phone, filing cabinets and fax machine.</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><ul><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
